Getwalled is a new Web service that lets you create awesome moments from social networks, such as Instagram and Twitter.
Moments in Getwalled are about live-feed. We focus in live moments so your friends (or audience) can share what they are thinking or doing through pictures, videos and text
A moment is a collection of posts. It is also called wall. When you create your moments or walls you define one or more feeds for the audience to share posts
A waller is a creator of moments or walls. Every Getwalled user who creates a moment is called waller
A space is a collection of moments. Every user has it own space that host all the moments he/she has created. Spaces can be private or public.
Private spaces can only be viewed by it owner. When your space is private all your moments are private too. Still you can create moments allowing guests to watch them sharing the URL of the moment.
Public spaces can be viewed by everyone. This is the default setup
Yes of course. Getwalled is free for you to enjoy. Have fun!
As long as 31 days. We think this is long enough for most case scenarios. Think about a sport match, a wedding, a birthday, a conference, a holiday/vacation, a meeting and lots of other events are time limited.
Of course some contests or travels may exceed this duration, but keep in mind that we focus in live moments. Most of then won't be longer than a day. If you just want a widget to put in your Wordpress or website and have your personal Instagram or Twitter feed this is definitely not what you are looking for
As you may notice it's all depend on your moment duration, but up to 560k for a month moment. For the time being the post-rate is about 750 posts per hour. This rate may change in the future
Yes, this is correct. When you create a moment with a specific duration it get a 'pending' status. This kind of moments cannot be seen by others in your space until you start them.
Pending moments can be created any time and then you just start them whenever you want, from any device. This way you can have your moments pre-created and nobody will know.
On the other hand, if you want your audience to know about a moment that is going to start at a specific time and date, you need to create a 'scheduled' moment
Categories are a way of grouping moments by topic. This way you can search for all moments in a specific category
A live moment is updated every 1 minute (actually 55 seconds). But there is an exception: when a moment is not being watched by anyone it switch to an 'innactive' state. This kind of moments are updated every 5 minutes.
An 'innactive' moment switch to 'active' state again when someone access it. In this case you may notice some delay getting updates because you need to wait for the next innactive update round (or tick) for the system to activate it. Worst case scenario: 5 minutes.
Notice that this update intervals may change in the future
As many as you want. There is no limit in the amount of moments you can have in your space
Your moments use your social ID to ask for posts in the social networks. So if you define a hashtag feed in Instagram for your moment you need to connect your Instagram account before you start it. This way you can have up to 10 feeds
Because Getwalled is about live moments. Moments are not meant to last forever. Moments are bounded in time. If you need your feed to last forever Getwalled is not what you are looking for
Restrictions about what you can o cannot share are established by the social networks
You can choose a theme for your live moments and modified it options (font size, colors, etc). Soon you will be able to design your own theme for all of your moments
Instagram and Twitter so far.
We focus in social networks that people use for 'now' events, to tell something they are thinking or doing right now, through pictures, videos and texts.
Facebook is great but people don't often use it for 'now' things, like Twitter. With Youtube happens something similar. We are not saying that we won't add Facebook or Youtube, we will get them working. Just be patient
Actually you can. Just activate the option 'Start my moment after created' in the 'New moment' wizard
Moments are meant to be unique. They cannot be re-opened. They have a start time and date, and an end. Sorry, you will have to create another moment
